AI assistants for WooCommerce store owners
What an AI assistant can usefully do on a WooCommerce store, what to keep it away from, and the options a store owner has today, from each maker's own pages as of October 2026.
We make Sarcio, one of the options on this page, so we have tried to be fair: every fact about another tool comes from its maker's pages or its WordPress.org listing, checked on October 26, 2026, and linked under Sources. Where those pages do not say, neither do we. These tools change often, so check the latest before you decide.
What to ask an AI for on a store
The jobs that suit an assistant best are the small, repetitive ones that eat an evening:
- Prices and sales. "Put the winter coats 20% off until Monday", or raise every price in one category by a set amount.
- Product text. Rewrite thin descriptions, add a short description, fill in search titles and image descriptions.
- Finding things. Which products have no image, which are out of stock, what sold this week.
- Orders. Move an order along, such as from processing to completed, and leave a note on it for your team or the customer.
- The shop around the products. A banner for the sale, a line about delivery times in the footer, a new link in the menu.
What to keep an AI away from
Some store changes cannot be taken back, or cost money if they go wrong. Whatever tool you choose, check how it handles these:
- Refunds. A refund sends money back through your payment provider. Do refunds yourself in WooCommerce.
- Deleting products for good. WooCommerce's own delete moves a product to the trash unless asked to delete it permanently. A permanent delete takes the product's history with it.
- Payment and checkout settings. A wrong setting here can stop every sale until someone notices.
- Customer details. Orders hold names, addresses and emails. Know where an assistant sends what it reads.
- Bulk changes you cannot see first. A price change across two hundred products is easy to ask for and slow to undo by hand.
The options today
WooCommerce's own abilities, with your own AI app
WooCommerce now registers its own abilities with WordPress: find products, create, update and delete a product, find orders, read and add order notes, and change an order's status. WooCommerce 11.3 turns them on by default. On their own they do nothing; they reach an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT once you install WordPress's MCP Adapter plugin, which WooCommerce no longer bundles.
You connect your AI app to the store as a WordPress user with an Application Password, and WooCommerce advises a user with only the permissions the app needs. A product delete goes to the trash unless the app asks for a permanent delete. WooCommerce calls the feature a developer preview, and its pages describe no preview of a change and no undo.

AI Agent by SiteGround
SiteGround's agent creates and updates products, including price, description, stock and variable products; views, updates, cancels and deletes orders; and reports on sales, including coupon use. Its listing does not mention refunds. Managing products and orders is one of the actions it pauses for until you turn on Power Mode, which then stays on. It is free for SiteGround customers with 20,000 tokens a month. Its WordPress.org listing shows 1+ million active installations and a rating of 1.7 out of 5 from 98 ratings. More in SiteGround's AI Agent, and an alternative.
Angie by Elementor
Angie builds Elementor pages and widgets and customises the WordPress admin. Its listing mentions WooCommerce only as something it can extend, and does not mention orders. It is free with limited daily credits, and its listing shows 100,000+ active installations and 3.2 out of 5 from 19 ratings. More in Angie by Elementor, and an alternative.
StoreAgent AI for WooCommerce
StoreAgent connects ChatGPT or Claude to your store, adds a chatbot that answers shoppers from your catalogue (and can offer coupons), and writes product descriptions, tags and image descriptions in bulk. Abilities that change the store stay off until you turn them on, content jobs can run on a sample first, and a 30-day activity log records what an assistant did; no undo is described. It needs a free StoreAgent.ai account, with paid plans for higher limits (prices not stated on the listing). The listing shows 600+ active installations and 5 out of 5 from 5 ratings.
AI Product Tools
AI Product Tools writes product content in bulk (descriptions, titles, tags, FAQs, search details, image descriptions), with a spreadsheet-style product editor and a shop assistant. You connect your own OpenAI, Gemini, Claude or OpenRouter key and pay that provider. Results are shown for you to approve before anything is saved, and Content History keeps the earlier value; one-click restore and bulk rollback come with its paid Business plan. The listing shows 500+ active installations and 4.8 out of 5 from 16 ratings.
AI Product Generator for WooCommerce
A writing helper inside the product editor: it scores each product, finds missing content and drafts descriptions, search titles, tags and images. Nothing is saved until you click Update or Publish. The free version gives 10 generations a month for each kind of content, with no API key needed; the Pro price is not stated on the listing. It is new, with 10+ active installations.
Where Sarcio fits
Sarcio is a WordPress plugin for building and changing your whole site by asking, store included, and for fixing it when something breaks. You ask in plain words inside wp-admin. It works through WordPress abilities, as your signed-in user under WordPress's own permission checks, and it never runs code the AI wrote.
- See it on your store first. A product price, a sale or a shop setting goes onto a private preview of your own store that only you see, beside the chat. Show live flips between the preview and what shoppers see. Nothing changes for shoppers until you choose Apply.
- Undo. Every change Sarcio applies is listed with its own Undo button. A new coupon cannot be previewed, so it asks you to apply it on the spot. Abilities another plugin adds, WooCommerce's own included, can be used too, but cannot be undone from Sarcio.
- Sales that end on time. Schedule a change and, if you like, the change back: the weekend sale goes up on Friday and comes down on Monday.
- Orders, carefully. See what sold and move orders along with a note. Through the assistant, nothing can refund an order, set it to Refunded or delete anything for good, not even through another plugin's abilities. Refunds stay in WooCommerce.
- The whole site. Pages, menus, the header and footer, styles and Elementor text, not just products.
- Fixing second. With checkout watch on, Sarcio notices when shoppers reach a checkout with no checkout form, no way to pay, or an order that will not go through, and sends you an urgent report with a fix drafted. Plugin and theme updates check the shop, cart and checkout afterwards and put the earlier version back if something broke.
Plans and install
Which should you choose?
- You already live in Claude or ChatGPT: WooCommerce's own abilities and the MCP Adapter are free, and the WordPress project backs them. Use a store user with only the permissions it needs.
- You host with SiteGround: its agent is included in your hosting, with tokens each month.
- You mostly need product text written: a writing helper such as AI Product Tools or AI Product Generator, where you approve each result, is the simplest fit.
- You want a chatbot for shoppers: StoreAgent includes one.
- You want to change the store and the site in plain words, and see it before shoppers do: Sarcio is built for that.
